He and his wife are pulling a benefits scam, single mother separated type thing. Probably both claiming housing benefit too using the old 'husband is wifes landlord, wife is husbands landlord' trick
If it was round here that is exactly what would be going on, and it would be nothing to do with him following Islam. Easy scam, often occurs.

Yep, same here.
He'd have had to stay there for a short while to "keep up appearances" in the early stages, then it's off back home to live as a family while continuing to claim on the other property.

Sounds like it, one of the easiest scams in the world (not counting MP's expenses of course)
