Strange PC issues - maybe GPU ???

Hi guys and girls,
I have been having issues with my computer for a couple of months now - what happens is when I run games which use 90%+ gpu utilization, and when I run artificial gpu benchmarks my computer crashes. When It crashes the screen goes black (or occasionally a striped blue colour) and the speakers just buzz loudly.

I first assumed it was my gpu (GTX 770) as it was overclocked - so I RMA'd it and got a new one, but that hasn't fixed the problem.
I underclocked my cpu to make sure that that isn't the issue (I can run prime95 for hours with no crashes)
I updated my audio drivers to the latest ones incase that was the issue
I plugged loads of devices into my pc to increase the draw power as high as I could get it ( I measured using a power meter ) and it didn't crash

- The computer only crashes when running GPU intensive things - however GPU is new ................. any help would be really appreciated - thanks x

What PSU are you using and have you tried using different power cables (PCI-E) the PSU may have to your GPU and if a multi rail PSU have you made sure to share the load on the rails, also I hope you are using 2 seperate power cables (PCI-E) to your GPU and not 1 on a splitter as some people seem to be doing. Also have you checked for Motherboard BIOS updates and Graphics card BIOS updates too ?

What drivers are you using and have you tried different ones? Sometimes issues with certain configurations causes problems.

FX-8150 @4.5ghz // GTX 770 // Sabertooth 990fx // 8GB Vengance Ram
OCX 120GB SSD // Segate Barracuda 2tb HDD // XFX 850 Watt PSU // H80i

@Purgatory - I will try switching round the gpu cables to see if it might be an issue with that
