Right, randomly today i tried to turn this machine on and got a "USB current overcharge detected" "system shutting down in 15 seconds" while posting, the PC would power up for a second then turn off, then when i pressed power again it came on fully, but then i get that message during POST
Now this had me stumped, with no access to the internet i've been ringing round my friends and one of them has said that one guy found the problem was his leads to the USB ports on his Motherboard, so i checked them, none were loose, so i checked the front USB ports from inside and outside, well one of them was pushed out (like on the outside of the case), out by a couple of centimetres, so pushed it back in and hey presto back on, no problems, all running smoothly.
Well what i'm asking is, as anyone heard of this, i've checked some stuff online and theres so many things that people are reporting to be fixes etc, so does anyone know why this happened, how could the USB port at the front have moved out, no one goes near the machine apart from me and how could that 2cm (if that) gap cause the short circuit or whatever happened?
