Strange problem, help please.

I returned a newish constantly disconnecting Samsung M3 1TB USB3.0 Slimline Portable Hard Drive, was replaced with new one. Saved some data on it (on my main pc). Now its a few weeks later and the next time I use it, nothing !
It works fine on htpc and laptop. Yet on my main pc it just spins up, beeps like it should and light on, but its nowhere to be found.
Even got a case for it to keep it safe !!
Any ideas please.

edit, usb sticks ect all work ok on main pc.

does it appear in disk management?

if it does make sure that its not been assigned a drive letter than is in use by something else, if so change it and it should appear

Believe it or not I thought about looking in disc management, but as its a portable device thought it was ok.
