The other day I was playing Command and Conquer and my pc froze and gave out a high pitched beep, so I turned it off. The next time I booted it, it reset itself just after the Windows loading screen but has been fine since.
This morning when I turned it on the fans powered up, then powered down again. When I switched it on again it said Overclock failed, press F1 to enter setup but everything's at stock and I haven't changed any bios settings since last time I turned it on. When I reset the bios it booted fine
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be wrong?

try changing your M/board onboard battery. i always change mine for new on a new board. i have had several in the past flake out and start not to hold bios settings. if you unplug the power or switch off at the mains then the little battery holds all your bios settings, if its voltage drops you could lose your settings every boot.
