Strange Problem?

Hi

Over the last 6 months or so my PC decides that now and again it just wants to knock itself off and re-boot. Lately though it has been happning a lot more frequently. I have been on the4 computer now for 1 hour and it has already done it twice.
Could this be something to do with the power supply maybe?

From what I have read in another thread, it could well be the PSU on it's way out.

It seems to do it most often when im playing a game to. I assume the graphics card/cpu etc would need to draw more power from the psu when playing games and the PSU cant cope, that why its turning itself off?

Its difficult to say. Is it actually rebooting or is it freezing?

If its freezing then its likely to be the PSU or a heat problem. Check temperatures and clean out dust from any heatsinks (graphics card, CPU). They might have just got clogged up.

could it be windows needs reinstailing?
maybe your mobo battery?
