This isn't really a problem any more but I'm curious and wondered if it could happen again. Came home from work this evening to find the internet down and my computer wouldn't boot properly. It turned out that my router had reset and lost all it's settings (which has never happened in the four or five years I've had it), and my motherboard had also lost its settings and was trying to boot to the wrong device (which does happen occasionally but usually after I've been messing around with it).
Is there anything anybody can think of which would cause both devices to lose their settings like that? Both are now working fine again, so I be stumped. Unless it's a big old coincedence...
