Strange Temps e8400

Well just in the process of overclocking my E8400 and am noticing very weird temperatures, for one my bios says my CPU is at 30c while idle yet speedfan say 40c/49c. The main problem I can see is the huge difference between cores, now I’ve had the HS/F off twice and reapplied paste etc but nothing changes, should I be worried?

TUNSTALL_NICK - you cannot link to images directly from your hard drive (unless you're running a 24/7 web server on your machine!). You need to upload the image to a image hosting site first such as www.imageshack.us / http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=image+host&meta=

I'm going to be installing an E8400 today no overclocking though.

The different temperatures reported for different cores must be related to how much use each core is getting? Reported that Core 0 is the higher temperature, which makes sense.

I have exactly the same readings (ish) with a large difference between the two cores meself. had no probs at all so far, I don't even bother checking anymore.
