Strange Titan Z Fault

Hi everyone,

I have Titan Z but there seems to be a weird fault with it. As soon as I turn the machine on the 'rear' GPU basically cooks and the fans go nuts and I can't get any post out of it. Would anyone have heard of this before and know if there's a fix?

How do you know that it's the rear GPU?

Have you tried cleaning the cooler? How about a repaste?

I can feel the heat coming off it. Like stupidly hot as soon as the power button is pressed (almost like it's pulling every bit of voltage it can straight away. No heat comes off the other GPU at all. Repasted several times.

Guarantee it's nothing to do with the actual cooling. Pretty sure there's some kind of fault on the card itself, but not sure where to look to try and identify and fix the problem.

Doesn't sound good then - probably a board fault somewhere. If the voltage regulation has failed it might be shorting out, the power supply will then shut down to protect itself. It may be cooking the chip in the meantime though
