Strange USB Problem.

I have an ASUS PC here that has a very strange problem.

This is what happens

• The PC will start when you remove any USB device.
• It does only happen when the device was attached when the PC was on.
• This happens on every port.
• Nothing happens if you insert and remove a USB device

Have checked BIOS and everything is fine. Has anyone come across this before?

The spec is:

Motherboard : Asus P5VD2-VM
BIOS Ver 0402 (4/11/06)

Isn't there an updated version of the BIOS? 06 seems pretty old...

You just beat me to it - found the latest version and installed that and hey presto all is fine.

Was very strange tho. There is nothing mentioned in any of the BIOS updates about this problem.
