Strange Xbox Elite problem... 4 lights

Just noticed this last night,

No matter how many controllers are active on my xbox I always have the 4 lights lit up on front indicating 4 controllers connected.

Anyone come across this before?

Everything working ok? Do you have enough controllers to log into slots 2,3,4 and out again and see if it's a MS glitch.

When I had my first 360 under the tv it looked like all the lights were lit up when gaming at night. They weren't it was just the angle and reflections though.

Do you have Lips microphones or the infrared receiver for 'Scene-it' buzzers connected at all? I think they both cause all four quadrants to light up if they are connected.

Yup Scene it receiver conencted to USB.
Will disconnect that when I get home and check
