Temperature going down as I overclock more...? Hmm..

Might have... give us the ambients for every test tho.
Give us voltage monitoring of whatever rail the cooling device is attached to (power at the mains is higher output at various times, which can result in that specific rail being higher at specific times during the night, resulting in fan running faster, resulting in temps being lower)...

Lotsa missing variables without which no realistic explanation can be offered.

Further tests at same time as earlier overclocking tests - whilst still at 2.75GHz - have given temperatures of 51/52*C max, so may be the explanation you gave.

I've ran torture tests for 24 hours and it has never reached more than 52*C so I think I can safely assume it's stable.
