To start off I'm not trying to advertise my business, I'm just trying to get a little help.

I'm after a good strapline for my new website where I offer professional Architect Services.

I am working around the theme of listening to the client and interpreting their ideas and needs and transforming them into the built form. I have also been told I have a keen eye for detail as I have spent several years working on stone churches and listed buildings.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

"Knock 'em down, Build 'em up" ? :D

Sounds like the usual response to clients overly optimistic ideas of what they want doing.

after spending all morning looking at some terrible architectural drawings here are the 2 that come to mind

x=company name

x, we dont use yellow on white paper (many poor architects like to use yellow hairlines on white paper... genius!)
x, we use scales available on scale rulers (i have seem to interesting scales on these drawings)
x, we know how to use Adobe Acrobat (several drawings list scales for paper size they dont use i.e. 1:25 at A1 (drawing comes as A3, notice the useful scale that cannot be found on any scale ruler)

sorry, nothing really of any use from me just trying to stop architects from being a-holes.

^^

scales & paper sizes in adobe.... the cadmonkey will have created a pdf from a dwg 1:25 @A1 etc which is how it should be done. The senior partner, or the site manager will then have plotted the pdf using whatever printer is on site (usually A3/A4) and made a hash of everything :D
Senior partner then rings the cadmoneky and asks him to 'make the pdf show at A3 to the same scale' :o

Pro tip: you need more scale rulers. :p

"Building done by Artists"
"Building done by Hippies"
"Mistakes done by Hippies"

One of the four should pretty much cover you.

normally we just use Brava! to scale PDFs. much quicker to use that autocad too. but for that you need 1 measurement, which isnt always easy, especially when the scales etc are wrong along with the paper size. we hardly ever get any cad files these days. its all PDF. which companies like Troika love as it allows them to use the fantastic yellow on white scheme for easy readability!
