Strategy games with super weapons

never actually played them, remember reading terrible stories of the new ones and want somthing slightly more modern than the really old ones :p

Yeah, he probably has since most of his Strategy games threads have them mentioned :p
Edit: Maybe he hasn't then!

Generals Zero Hour + Plus some mod I can't remember, makes the in game nuke take out over a whole screen :D, otherwise it barely takes out 3/4 buildings.

Can't think of any other game.

Umm, if you haven't played C&C don't listen to the reviews. Start with the older ones like red alert 2 or something, great series.

it's not the reviews i listened to it was the people on here and elsewhere complaining about it.

and like i said not interested in storey etc just want a game where i can nuke/poison/incinerate/any other unspeakable super weapon things for a while.

Nexus jupiter incident ( amazing game )

universe at war , earth assault ( Average game , kick ass powerful weapons )

Sword of the stars ( I didn't like it , but many do )

Sins of a solar empire ( amazing with mods )

Definitely C&C:Generals > C&C3 for superweapons.

You can only build one superweapon in C&C3!!! (unless you capture an enemy weapon) :(

On the other hand, in generals you can have as many as you like :D and it is awesome.

Also even though it is basically just nukes, Supreme Commander is always worth a look just for the sheer number you can build and fire off at the same time.

The siege cannon in Homeworld Cataclysm. Like most wmd's though, you don't get to use it a whole lot in games.

The orbital strike in Dawn of War 1 maybe?
