Strategy games

They all have their ups and downs, but so far Shogun 2 is proving to be a damn stable release and good fun. The beginner tutorial is probably one of the better ones too.

For starting out I think Shogun 2 is the best option as many people including myself think its the best of the series so far. The tutorial is good as well which should get you initiated into the style of play. The only caveat is what sort of theme/time period you prefer. Obviously Shogun 2 is Japan only.

Shogun 2, medieval 2 is too old to start off the series on. Stick with the modern ones and go to the older ones if you feel brave.

oh right, ive decided to give Rome a shot, as im interested in the era, its cheap and if i dont like it well it doesnt matter.
But i like what ive heard about Shogun, so yeah ill download the demo and give it a go,, thanks all:)

I liked Rome but when I went back to play it a few months ago it just felt clunky compared to the newer ones. Shogun 2 I've only played for 2 hours but so far it seems to be recapturing the essence of Rome that M2 and Empires seemed to lose a little.
