I wanting a new strategy game to play.
I've played C&C to death and Ashes is getting boring.

i just got Company of Heroes 3 free with a CPU but i dont know if it my type of game.
i like Skirmish type rounds that's take a few hours not weeks.

i own total war and one of the war hammers.

unfortunately classic RTS games are lacking, although i am keeping an eye on tempest rising, have you tried starcraft 2 ? im not into the multiplayer, but you have 3 great campaigns

The learning curve is steeper than Mount Thor (particularly if you haven't played sup comm!), but if you like a challenge, then it's (IMO) one of the most strategic RTS games ever, and well worth persevering

have you tried starcraft 2 ? im not into the multiplayer, but you have 3 great campaigns

i thought it was just online multi so never bothered looking

does have 3 very good single player campaigns if your interested, id start with wings of liberty, then heart of the swarm, wing of liberty you play as the terrans, basically your human forces, tanks, aircraft and marines

currently £52.50, for a game im not 100% on im not willing to drop that much i will watch some revies though

if you get the game via the starcraft site its free and downloads via battle.net
if you just try to get the game from battle.net its 32 base game 52 with all campaigns plus dlc
ive just seen you can buy the campaigns for £4 via code sits.

Zero-K - Its Free based on the spring engine - another spiritual succcessor to Total Annihilation

Supreme Command : Forge alliance - i've had many an hour in this game. if online is your thing then get FAF (Forge Alliance Forever for PVP + an assortment or MODS and different PVE), my go to game - spiritual succcessor to Total Annihilation
