Streaming Issues

Hi all,

I hope this is the right place.

I've been streaming my mkv files to my ps3 for a few years now using PS3 Media Server, but recently all my mkv files seem to play for a while and then stop, i've not changed anything except upgrading ps3ms.

What i'm looking for is something to stream the mkvs to my living room, via either the ps3 or xbox 360, don't really want to have to buy any more gadgets. Both consoles are linked into my av amp via hdmi and then to the tv.

Has anyone got any ideas? Or a solution to the streaming issues?

Just replied to this thread (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18481484) with the same answer I'd give you.

Easiest option is something like http://www.serviio.org/

More involved option (but opens up lots of possibilities of how you view your content in the future) is running just Plex Media Server (http://www.plexapp.com/) and using its built in DLNA functionality.
