Not to sure where to post this. Is it possible to stream movies from my windows computer at home to my iphone via my 3g connection ? Sorry if this is in the wrong place any help would be much appreciated

Something like OPlayer will transfer videos to your device over WiFi, but it doesn't stream. There are streaming apps but I haven't found one I'm happy with yet so I can't recommend any.

Take a look at Plex. Install Plex server on your pc then us 'myplex' to access your stuff on the go. Plex handles the transcoding of stuff to so it'll play nice on your idevice.

I use plex to stream from my nas as it transcodes on the fly thus allowing me to watch my .mkvs on my iphone/ipad..
