Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Got a refund on STEAM and bought it on CDKeys... I feel dirty

If you have a TE2 Stick it currently doesn't work with SF5, it's the reason i got a refund from steam and getting the PS4 version, sad because i wanted the PC version so i have have better visuals, although this generation the gap is smaller.

Do all ps3 sticks work with sfv on ps4? I have a qanba q4raf I'd like to use if possible.

They don't work on the beta and my guess will be that they never will, because there would be no incentive to spend a small fortune on Madcatz range of shiny new sticks.

There are converters though.

Kens tatsu.... cant punish it with anything on block!? Also Rishid DP hasn't got 0 startup so he really doesn't have a wake up game.

Also when they activate V Trigger and they move with "no frames" its just so annoying

DP's aren't meant to be a wake up option any more as people just turned their brains off and mashed in SFIV. Just block on wake up.

V Trigger activation is great on ambiguous cross ups as it lets you pause and then super in the right direction :D

Capcom have said in the full game PS3 sticks will be supported, but there's no guarantee.

All PC compatible sticks work with the PC version. Use Xpadder.

When SF4 was released in Feb 2009 I bought a TE stick but I couldn't get used to pulling off combos with it so I went back to the standard control pad, which worked much better as it's less effort to play :p

SFV will be even easier on a pad as:

- The combos are far less strict
- Special moves are easier to do
- HP+HK replaces the old Ultra qcf qcf +3p/k input
- They are trying to avoid charge characters

From Evenhubs comments section:

'Guys the days of truly hype combos are dead. It's okay, accept it. SF5 has a lot of other things going for it and I really like the game, but the combos are pretty lackluster. The fact that desk is going for full screen fireball dash combos pre-release to do something interesting is a pretty good indicator of that.

We are sacrficing combos for accessibility, but we are gaining a bunch of other good things that SF4 didn't have such as a faster game pace, extreme punishment for reversals, lack of fadc safety nets in general, etc. No game is perfect, and I accept that SF5 is sacrificing some depth/hype in the combo department but that the game is still good enough overall to make it competitively interesting.'

Couldn't have put it better myself

Non charge Guile... he is going to be sickening :(

He will have a charge move, but will have some motion moves too, just like the changes to M.Bison and Vega. The good news is that non-charge moves get nerfed hugely because of how much easier it is to have one loaded in the barrel and ready to go. In summary, a motion Guile will have far worse fireballs and flash kicks than a charge one :)

You should try some of Rashid's insane juggle combos using his V trigger! The combos are more positionally difficult rather than technical now, a bit like in MvC3.

The game itself isn't fun to watch. Watching footsies is like watching a Sagat or Guile mirror match, if you don't see the art in it. I don't think we will see many crowds going wild at evo this year!

No one knows how to play it yet. Sf4 wad the same dull turtle/zone fest for a while.

I think the issue is that the driver for the TE2 doesn't work on Windows 10.
Madcatz have dropped the "PC Compatible" line from the advertising as well, all sticks are console only.

My 360 TE (1) did not work on PC(Win10) initially so I was using joy2key. On Sunday though it started working, no idea how. Joy2Key was suddenly not transferring inputs correctly, and I realized it was due to conflicting with XInput.

I had great fun playing the BETA over the weekend though, will be there day 1 to farm points/monies from noobs :p (becuase I'm a noob too :( )

Looking forward to annoying people with fang.

I just hope his zoning game is decent as fireballs are so bad in this game. Every character can destroy Ryu or Nash's fireball game with ease from very far away.

Been doing some research on this and someone answered me

SFV Beta on PC only accepts Xinput devices, that's why the TE2 works on USFIV and not SFVB.

I don't know why Capcom made the beta xinput only, but I'm willing to bet money that the retail release will support direct input. If not immediately, then shortly thereafter- it would be supremely asinine to lock out buyers of licensed sfv sticks, and almost unprecedented for a modern pc fighting game to be xinput only.

So i'll be keeping an eye out for what happens

i see that you are still sticking to charge characters. i probably going to try one of mika or laura. i want someone that hit hard and can go in and out quickly
