Streetfighter question - retro!

In the original arcade release of Street Fighter II the World Warrior Ken and Ryu specialmoves were identical with the exception of one of the throws they could perform. Ken had a throw which involved rolling back with the opponent engaged while the same throw for ryu was merely just a lie back and flip the opponent back using his foot, identical to the way was portrayed in the god awfull SF2 film with van damme.

When Champion Editions and further remakes of the game were released differences in style and power of the special moves between Ken and Ryu were introduced.

But as stated at the start the original SF2 in arcade and on SNES they were identical

Hmm, thinking of picking up some ofthe older SF games for some good times, can anyone recommend which would be good versions and on which consoles?

:) Cheers

And yeah, Shin Akuma does rock in the spammy way, always had the partial for Ryu in the Orange Ghi in err..god..here goes.Super Street Fighter 2 Champions Edition? :D

I bought SF2 Anthology edition for PS2 this year. All the Alpha series of games. There is also the Hyper Anniversary edition, which is the "older" games. (think this is on xbox 1 and PS2).
