strike games

Damn how i loved the series of strike games, especially desert strike, and soviet strike! anyone else enjoy these games at all or was it just me?

i wish they would make another similar strike game, with the same perspective but with updated graphics etc..that would be cool. you lot probably wont agree though

playing deesert strike return to the gulf at the moment! damn this game has aged.

Urban Strike was my game of choice for well over a year, epic replay value. This is another game i'd like to see remastered in high definition and released on the PSN/Marketplace.

I played Desert, Jungle and then Nuclear Strike. Absolutely loved them all, never completed Jungle Strike as I was too young to be able to handle the difficulty

Also never completed Nuclear Strike, I didn't really try that much though to be honest.

Got a real sense of achievement when completing Desert, loved seeing the plane go up in flames

:Edit: Most frustrating moments - running out of fuel while my winch was going down for more, and laying fire into a building too hard, thus destroying the ammunition/armour/fuel that I so desperately needed... did that countless times

I was a huge fan of them, back in the day. Spent absolutely hours on them.

My favourites would be Jungle and Urban, I think Soviet and Nuclear weren't as good.

You can get them for PSP on EA's collection game thingy, but from reviews i've read, they've not transferred well.

I hope they make a new one, but it's going to be hard to keep the magic after being away from the series for so long - i'm guessing most of the original dev team have moved on.

Loved Desert Strike but I was too young to be any good at it so died a lot. Didn't ever really play the other games but would love an XBLA remake!

Yeah, I think EA should remaster these games in HD and re-release them on PSN and XBL. They'd make a packet if it was done well.

never thought about them being released on xbla and psn, great idea though! if it was done it would be a definate purchase from me. the only thing i hate in desert strike is the rapiers, god damn them, and the lag when accesing the ingame menu
