Strimmers? Any recommendations?

Stihl sounds like it just needs the carb cleaning out or replacing :p half hour max!

btw those of you with the beastly Titan... when the carb eventually starts giving up you can replace it with one a Honda GX22, GX25, GX31 and GX35 which ultimately is the same build but it has the added bonus of fuel adjustment. Titan themselves didn't want to know RE me enquiring about a replacement carb.

Takes 10 mins to swap, easy as pie and runs even sweeter now. The carb costs a tener.

Sweet thanks for info!

Mine has been sitting idle for 9 months with petrol and oil in it.. wondering if it will even start.

You're meant to store them empty over the winter so the petrol doesn't evaporate and leave the oil to gunge up the internals of the carb :p

If it doesn't start (or runs poorly) and you're able to use a screwdriver just strip the carb down and using some carb cleaner spray it through every hole you can find to clear it up. Compressed air is also useful. It takes 10 minutes to strip, clean, and rebuild a carb once you've done it a few times.

Pro tip: watch out for the spring under the assembly that controls the needle valve they have a habit of flinging off if you don't realise they're there.
