I'll be getting a new system tmr with 2 640GB WD Black edition drives and 2 1TB WD Green edition drives. The two 640GB will be in RAID 0 and use for windows install and software, whilst the 1TB drives will be in RAID 1 and used for storage and backup.

I've never used RAID before so bare with me please.

From what I've read for the RAID 0 set up I should aim to use a 64k stripe as I do a mixture of gaming, word and CAD work. I've also read I should partition the drive so I have a 20GB swap partition which is running a 4k stripe. Does that make sense and is it worth doing?

For the RAID 1 drives, it's a storage of downloads, pics, music and documents. The larger the stripe size here the better?
