Hey guys, i've read all the stickies about the stripe size when using RAID 0.

I'd just like to get an idea of what stripe size people are using and what they mainly do. I myself have chose 32k as it was advised in one of the post's for windows XP and genral stuff... The main reason i striped HD's in the first place was to run games faster, you know, less loading screen time etc.

Was 32k a good choice for games, UT 2k4, WoW, and some oblivion.. are the type of games i play.

Sorry about the wording in the first post, what i ment was...

Whats a good choice of stripe size for modern games, i.e. the ones listed above.

I'm new to the whole raiding thing, and have read the stickies.

I thought it'd be a good idea to ask on here, yes i could try them all out my self as you suggested, but that'd take quite some time... thought'd be faster asking others what they thought thats all.

After all, thats what the forums for.

Thanks J :D

I guess i'll stick with the 32k then, just needed somone to say it was a good choice heh, thanks again

Is it possible to change the stripe size on an existing raid? or would i have to part the drives then re-build the raid?

If so, would i loose my data, or would it just build the raid back, with a different stripe size, and my OS would work?

Arg, that might not have been worded properly >.< been typing to fast, cba to wait for my hands to type slow lol
