Stripe SSD or Not?

Most people don't bother, the real world gains are poor and you are more at risk of data loss. TRIM wasn't originally supported in RAID, not sure what the current state of play is as so few people bother.

As far as I know RAID kills seek performance of SSDs. Peak read and write goes up for large files bit it's only something you'd notice when transferring fairly large files, which the chances are will be mostly never.

Worth remembering that normally bigger SSDs are already faster and have no array initialisation time so real-world can actually be better for startup times and indistinguishable a lot of the rest of the time.

Been running 2 for the last 4 years in raid. Apart from benchmarks no real world speed increase. Will be swapping to 1 big SSD for Windows when I next upgrade.

I wouldn't bother as it does not really make any difference.

The only time I have used RAID 0 was in the days when I ran 2x Hard disks (WD Blacks), before I got my first SSD.
