As the title says, i'm looking for Asus strix owners to comment on how there's has ran since purchase. ANd for anyone who has owned one to comment on the RAM degradation causing the artifacts.

I am about to drop the £1400 after postage on one from OCUK and I don't fancy having to have to do numerous returns.

You do know there's an offer running on these for £150 of the £1400 asking price right?

Don't have the card myself so can't help you with the memory question.

I'm on my second strix - both have Micron memory.

The first was purchased in December last year, it had issues with the screen flashing/artifacting out of the box - it was minor at the time. After a few weeks the card had given up and games were unplayable and always crashed.

The second strix which replaced the first under warranty I've had for maybe 6 or 7 weeks now and I've had zero issues despite it also being Micron memory. This card is overclocked and with 125% power limit

Mine lasted since Dec 24th till the weekend

It started crashing at 4k a week ago it had been flawless at 1440p
It then got space invaders
It would still bench 1080p fine but anything 4k killed it .

It on its final day wouldn't boot windows with the card in and when it finally did it within 1 minutes had artifacts all over screen.

Ignore me, got it. That's tempting me hardcore. Will it last the full warranty :/

See that was my worry, I am thinking the second batch should be ok now like yours would most likely be.

That's the exact issue i've been seeing on the first batch cards, SUpposedly if you underclock them it will save them but yours officially hit the deck.

Had +1100 memory OC on my non-Strix 2080Ti. Been left on +1000 24/7 for months now without incident, and that’s Micron.

Just seems to be the luck of the draw TBH.

When you get it make sure you OC it to an inch of its life and then hopefully if it’s going to fail it does so sooner rather than later.

The Strix is one of the lowest failure rate 2080Ti cards we sell, so irrelevant of the memory they use it seems a very solid product. :)

Only asked, as Samsung Memory didn't suffer the degradation like early micron batches which when underclocked would actually work once more.

Still dubious about failure rate, but since i've got 17 days to decide on if i go strix with the wonderful offer i'll hold back and see if anyone will actually buy my HOF1080ti in that time. Or i'll just drop the gun and go ham and love life :/

Are you allowed to tell use the RMA % of the 2080ti's?

I'm downunder and not in the UK, I have some data from the store I got my units from.

The store I use had ordered 50 strix 2080ti units, as of January they have only received 3 units. All 3 units were sold, 2 of these units died and were returned for RMA and this included mine.
I received my replacement 4 days later and has been fine, I don't know how many further units were sold and return rates unfortunately.

Agreed nothing wrong with micron to be honest, just a couple bad early batches. Have had 3 2080Ti's now all with micron memory, not one has let me down yet.
