After seven years of medical training and hard work, my very good friend has been struck off after one minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients and now can no longer work in the profession. What a waste of time, training and money. A genuinely nice guy and a brilliant vet.

Unfortunately, it is a rule that protects both the patient and the doctor/nurse, whether we agree with the rule or not, it is in place. he broke the rule, got caught and pays the price. It is such a shame so close to Xmas though. I don't think that it should be a 1 strike offence tbh, especially as some of those alsatians are cute.
