Structured cabling or wireless setup in home?

under the stairs is the best place. I've gone one step further and moved the pc base unit to under stairs too then ran 1 HDMI to the lounge tv and another to dining room tv. I've then ran 3x 5 or 7m USB extenders to put a keyboard / mouse etc in the dining room. I've used a spare cat5 to give me a headphone jack and extend the pc power button so it can be turned on in the dining room...

Result is a completely silent pc unless your sat in the cupboard under the stairs. I can drag movies etc onto the lounge TV. Much better than having the noisy bulky pc tower sat under your desk.

Definitely lay cable throughout, even to rooms you might not need it in, just in case.

No point not doing it, you'll likely live to regret it when you want to run a HTPC or Connect consoles etc...

Regret not doing it here sometimes...
