Does anyone else find it hard to get in to single player games? It doesn't matter the genre, the review scores and the general quality of the game. Within a couple of hours playing i am bored and reaching for a multiplayer game.

Latest attempts have been The Witcher 3, Divinity Original Sin 2, Assassins Creed, Far Cry, Two Point Hospital, Spider Man (PS4)

All good games but i just don't care about any of it once i start playing. I feel i need to play against someone.

So anyone else feel the same?

I generally play for a story so single player is my preferred option. If however the game becomes deadlocked with side missions or the main story line gets hindered with stupid 'missions' I tend to give up. I find multiplayer lacks a long term aim other than just to repeat scenarios.
Andi.

Only played my first MP game in a decade with PUBG, otherwise almost exclusively SP games. However I know what you mean as my attention span and patience are somewhat gimped compared to my childhood, only games like GTA will keep engaged throughout the whole game/story.

Nope, I can play single player RPG, RTS or Sims game especially some of the classics like Command and Conquer, Rollercoaster Tycoon, X Beyond the Frontier (+X2/3) and the Stronghold series etc ad infinitum.

Platform and defined story arc games bar open world ones like GTA don't last long though and I prefer those on console anyway.

Single player lover here. However, I do like the idea of getting into a slower paced multi-player, something fantasy orientated, but I never seem to get around to it.

Im the same as you OP, the closest I get to Single player is running missions alone on destiny 2

other than that its all competitive mode online

can happily play Co-op games, just get bored being alone

Single player my own pace, no screaming telling you how to play, that their stats are better, they have played the game for 500hrs and understand every mechanic and you really should do as i say.

Multiplayer community is toxic these-days, no community in general due to it all being fragmented.
