Hey.

I haven't built a system for a fair few years now so i am out of touch when it comes to whats best for my budget.

I have roughly £600-£700 to spend on CPU, MOBO,RAM and gpu. I do have a 5 year old corsair 550w power supply that im currently using, but is that enough? or should i replace anyway due to its age.

I'll be recycling my case, hdd's etc from this build.

Ill be mostly gaming, Dota 2, counter strike and newer games such as assassins creed. Im not after huge fps numbers, just something that will be steady at 1080 with most things, if not all, turned up.

If anyone could spare 5 mins to do a quick spec for me it would be very much appreciated.

This would slay 1080p.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Z97MX Gaming 5 - Devil's Canyon i5 4690K CPU & Micro ATX Motherboard Bundle **£10 Saving** £301.94
1 x KFA2 GeForce GTX 970 OC Silent "Infinity Black Edition" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card **WorldWide Exclusive** £299.99
1 x Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-17100C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX21C11BRK2/8-OC) £67.99
Total : £669.92 (includes shipping : ).

I would be a bit cautious with that PSU, mainly due to age. A SuperFlower 550w would be ample.

I should be fine, the area opposite the gpu slot is clear.

With the krait edition mobo, is it PCI 3.0? Because reading the spec list for the 970, it says it requires it, or am i missing something?

Thank you for all the help guys
