strumming pattern for libetines

Considering the amount of anti-Pete Doherty on these forums, I doubt you're going to get a great deal of half decent replies.

You'd be better off googling for a tab of it, sometimes there are notes about the strumming in there.
 
I imagine he's referring to the lack of punctuation and "the".

Anyway, I reckon you need to use powertabs (free) and get a powertab for the song, as most chord tabs don't include the rhythm, as it's usually assumed you'll work it out from listening/playing along to the song.
 
Listen for which strums fall on the 1,2,3,4 pulse of the song (presuming there are 4 beats to every bar) on every one of those, use a downstroke, if a strum falls inbetween each beat, use an up stroke.

Down/up strumming should be mated with the rhythmic pulse of the guitar part, down strokes generally sound accented and belong on the strong beats, upstrokes belong on the upbeats and weak beats.

Nice way to try and save face. I'm personally not bothered, I just thought it was a good idea to tell you what I thought of you at the time. You do come across as a bit of a pompous ***.
