Hi all,

I like to have a bit of stubble but prefer the controlled look rather then someone who has been in a jungle for a month.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good shaver and have any tips?

Thanks

I think girls prefer the "been living in a jungle" look :D , while not very sophesticated a normal pair of hair trimmers with the guard removed will leave a pretty perfect amount of stuble as they cant cut to the bone.

Use a hair Trimmer :)

On another not, How many hours is it until its 4 O'clock england time?

Thanks guys :D

What a Thread Hi jack that was.

And use a Hair trimmer, Blade to skin. It will shave to stubble length

I'm the same and use a Braun Cruzr 3 to keep the stubble under control. It has four hair length selectors, I only really use the shortest length one though.

Ive just been looking at that one.

So it comes complete with all the grades etc?

Also, is there different models of the cruzr?

I have this one, it has a bit that slides up that shaves n leaves stubble. Its called a Braun Freeglide or something :)

I had the Braun Cruzer 3 for a while for this purpose, as did my old housemate and while it does the job nicely, after about 6-9 months the beard trimmer bit becomes quite blunt and pretty unusable. Boots were very good about swapping it for a new one (just explained it "didn't work" any more) and so i've actually had 3 of them in the space of maybe 2 years. It's a shame, as otherwise it does a good job.

my advice would be to get a proper beard trimmer, they do the job fine and generally have better cutters which dont blunt quickly like the Cruzer did. Something like this is what i have now, only about £20-30 and does a really good job and much easier than the Cruzer was too :)

Precision zoom lock, adjusts to 9 different length settings
Whats the longest setting?

Philishave do a beard trimmer called the Turbovac or something. Kate got mine from Boots, it's spot on.

The Cruzr only has four length settings, but it does what I need it to do, so it's not an issue for me.

I thought electric razors going blunt wasn't really a fault as such, just a part of the design, which is why they sell replacement foils and blades which you are supposed to replace... I'm kind of suprised Boots took it back.
