Stubble trimmer

Got this today, it cuts much much better than the I-Stubble... However since it got so popular I had to dish out £25 since all 13 and 17 quid ones are out of stock now :( If I got that for 13 quid I`d be over the moon.

It doesnt offer so much "techy" stuff as I-stubble like a motor to move the head up and down and LCD screen... But it gets job done much better.

Bought loads and all I can say is I couldn't go for anything other than Wahl now.

I ended up buying one of the Wahl beard trimmers last week. Been trying it out for a few days and its so much better than my old Phillips one ever was! £20 well spent in my opinion!

I'm keen to try something new. I've had a Remington Barba for about 4 years and it's still working fine although the battery drains after one use now.

I'm going to go against the grain and say I think it's average at actually trimming beards/stubble. It gives an uneven trim and you have to go over the same bit several times to get everything, unless you use it without a guard which means you can't trim to anything but the shortest length.

I think I'm going to try and find something with metal guards.

I LOL'd at the thought of a company putting an LCD screen on a stubble trimmer and then LOL'd harder at people who would buy one because it had it.

Bit of a thread revivial but I'm looking at getting myself a new beard trimmer/shainvg kit thingy, to shave wityh and keep my sideburns and beard neat and tidy and the rest of my face clean shaven.

I used to have a great little remmington which had a nice little shaver head which worked well, and a trimmer head which by itself shaped well and had length attachments for keeping my beard neat. However, the build quality of the attachments was not great and after a year or so, the shaver head broke as did the length attachments.

I then got myself a Babylis set with various attachments but found that although it's built a lot better than the Remmington, it's terrible for actually shaving, the trimmer is useless at actually cutting hair with a length guide on it just doesn't cut at all. Finally I have given up on it and would like something that will actually work..

Does anyone have any suggestions for such a kit, baring in mind I want adjustable length, edge cclipping, shaving etc.

Thanks

And another thread revival... I'm thinking of getting one of these instead of a conventional shave. I'd like something like leaves perhaps just a days growth rather than the raw feeling of a real close shave.

Would the Barba do the trick for this or is it really meant for tidying up a beard? It would take me months to grow a beard but I'd rather tidy up untidy stubble twice a week than a full proper shave. Perhaps removing the comb might do the job?

It will take it down to a millimetre. I usually keep mine at around 3.

I got the Istubble a week or so before I saw this thread. Dont get it, its terrible. It just doesnt cut. It cuts patchy and I have to savage my face to eventually get an even beard.
I also hate the fact that every timee I turn it on I have to reset the length. Why cant it just stay at the same length. I accidently forgot one day and bam shaved 0.4 into a length I normally have at 2.5

Hate it

I just got the cheaper i-Trim to replace my silver one which I think was the original with the motorised blades. The new one is TERRIBLE!! Absolutely agony shaving with it.

Might need to check out the Barba or the Wahl.
