Booo... is there anything I can do to get rid of it? I've rubbed it with a cotton wool bud, but I don't want to press too hard. :(

Any ideas?

Thanks!

EDIT: Ok I think it may be dead, as its grey in colour. :(

Well, the other thing you could do is to try a program (I think its called dead pixel buddy) or use a fast moving screen saver with LOTS of colour.

If the pixel is actually dead it probablly wont come back, but may if its just stuck.

On another note, I like the sig :)

sig made me chuckle :D god i love scrubs.

as for the dead pixie :) is it in a prominent position ?

Cheers for the replies,

Lol I love scrubs too. :D Erm, the pixel is off to the side about an inch in from the casing about half way down, so not in the middle or anything. It actually looks like it could be two right next to each other. I probably will have to live with it until Viewsonic release that new widescreen model. :D

/oh totally off topic, but scrubs on E4 tonight. :p

Sledghammer should cure the dead pixel problem!

Seriously though, you may be stuck with it (No pun intended). How old is the TFT?

Yeah, I may be stuck with it but I'll give that program a go and see how I get on. But the TFT is a VX910 (Viewsonic) and I've had it for about 3yr (roughly). Pretty much bought it when it was released, and now they don't even sell it anymore, they have the 912 now to replace it. :)

How long do TFT's last... usually? It is used 24/7 to be fair.

You won't get it replaced because of one stuck / dead pixel.

Nope, but you can do the "7 day cooling off" return thing, as long as you package it all up like new. I wouldn't be bothered to do that for just 1 though

Not unless they do the "3 year cooling off" return thing :p
TBH after 3 years 1 pixel isn't too bad.
