Stuck for Choice!

I'm a bit out of the loop with laptops to say the least, my 5 year old laptop packed in a few days ago so im out to replace.

I won't use it allot so not too much to spend on a replacement

Wondering whats good right now?

So far
Samsung R700 Laptop Santa Rosa Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 at around about 550
Or a Dell M1530?

Budget is around 550 i suppose

So yeah! Any help greatly appreciated, are Santra Rosa the things to go for? or is the dell a better buy, other ideas are welcome the cheaper the better.. im looking for bang for buck!

I am looking for one, same budget and found this. HP Pavilion dv6750ea Entertainment Notebook PC. It's got 256mb NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS and 2GB Ram. Can't link to where to buy it from but looking at £449

I am joining on as I am starting to look for a notebook. I am seriously looking at the Mac Book due to its rather good build quality though it seems many people go for Dell (my present one is a Dell Celeron).

Anyone got any comments on build quality of Dell or other makes or any other thoughts come to that?
