Stuck my plug in the wrong hole (sata III fail - help!)

So, I buy a speedy shiny Samsung 830 128gb, put it on its shiny 3.5" plate (when is someone going to make a 2.5->5.25" btw?) -- and plug it in. Windows 8 installs in 7 minutes flat. Pulls all my drivers off the giga website, sorted. Windows Experience... 7.3. 7.3?!


I plugged my speedy shiny Sata-III SSD into a Sata-II socket.

Q: If I unplug it and put it in the right hole, will there be a sudden mobo / windows **** up of calamitous proportions?

Er... just make sure the PC is off when you do the unplugging and plugging, boot into BIOS amd make sure its all detected correctly. Its not rocket science.
