Hi there. Looking for some advice regarding the above laptop which arrived yesterday.
On booting I noticed that there is a stuck pixel on the monitor.
Under the 14 day returns policy what is the best course of action?
Is this something that OCUK could look to repair for us?
It's just that with the additional customisation and parts it's going to be too annoying to just try to avoid looking at with the position of it.

Cheers for any advice you guys can give.

Where is it? I have a couple that annoy me because they're on the left side of my PC monitor.
You could return it under DSR. You'd have to buy it again etc.

It's sort of right of centre. If it was on a corner I could totally forget about it but it's totally obvious.
Was sort of thinking that the returns policy was going to go that way.
Shame as well as really happy with the service and delivery times etc. Just a bummer about the pixel!
Got one on my pc monitor but due to the larger size and corner position it's not an issue.

Try something like UDPixel and run that for a few hours first, what colour is the stuck, have you made sure to determine if it's stuck or dead?

It's stuck hard green mate. No change in colour so was assuming it was stuck.

I'll run the software fix overnight to see if it helps to remedy it but I didn't have much luck with my monitor when I attempted that.

Really appreciate the replies mate.

Send it back. Simple really :)

Considering you could send it back even if there was nothing wrong with it, it's a no brainer to send it back with a stuck pixel!

This is what the long distance selling regulations are all about, you would not buy it if you saw it in the shop like this would you.

Tried the tapping....... terrified and gentle tapping! lol.
If the software doesn't fix it I'll call tech support and arrange to send back.
Just wondered what you guys thought and saw some great forum support for previous issues so thought I'd give you a blast!

Because it's an inconvenience, he clearly likes the product and wants to use it. Having to buy it again and get it remade etc is just a pain.

Of course the OP is eager to use it, he just paid shed loads for his dream laptop.

If it proves to be stuck and everything has been done to try and unstuck the little ****er then in no way, shape or form would the years of paying to be annoyed by it be worth not sending it back.

Maybe you would enjoy paying for years of looking at stuck pixel? idk.
