my E6500 doesnt change temp, 33and 38 lol, how can it be fixed?

My E6300 was like that, would not go below 34 but it did go higher. Think it is a common fault..

My E8400 has stuck core sensors at 38/38c anything below will not show, but will show higher then that.

Aslong as they move when things heat up there is nothing to worry about. Some cpu's have stuck sensors some don't.

if you run prime95, and checking using Coretemp, do they go up, or totally stay stuck?

Coretemp doesnt move either, Does it affect the cpu's performance at all?

Just run some stress tests such as Prime95 if it's overheating you can be sure it will crash, if it doesn't then you're worrying over nothing.

Well it does sometimes restart my computer after its been streess testing but soemtiems it doesnt, doesnt make any sense to me.

Run Intel Burn Test, that'll soon tell you if you get any movement

Then if the core sensors are stuck, probably best to take readings for the overal cpu temp instead.

how many tests should i do? says minmum 5. Im using the burntest legacy one because the other program wont run on my computer.

Well so far ive done about 15 tests on it and its not crashed or restarted.

Just wondering how stable is occt for stress testing? it mainly crashes with that one.

My E5300 does it also, i think its a problem woth the wolfdale cores
