Hey I have read some info, and read the replies to a recent thread i made asking how to overclock, and the bottom line is i will need to change some options. i.e FSB etc. i've come to do this, and it may be me, but i cannot see how its possible. I am posting 2 screen shots, so if you could guide me on how to change the settings that are greyed out, would be helpful :)

I firstly got to here:

the obvious choice then would be CPU config, so i clicked that and that took me here:

I have tried to mess about a lil, but cant get to change anything

HELP!

Thanks :)

bdw model is Asus P5KPL-AM

thanks for the quick replies, I went into jumper free connection, and SUCCESS!

I have posted the 2 screens, first is the manual options, with 2 options to change, 2nd has pre set 5%, 10% etc all the way up 2 30%, i just hit 5% cus i was curious. and im now running at an impressive 2.63GHZ Omg!! im excited :P

I know you have to to extensive tests, but i thought 5% wont hurt, and anyone tell me which program(s) they use and for how long, and do i need to test at 5%?

Prime 95 blend tests are the most commonly used stability test. People differ on how long they like to perform them for but 8 hours or so should be fine.

It is up to you how frequently you test as you overclock but make sure you keep a record of each time you find a stable setting so that if you find something is unstable you can go back to a known stable setting.

Good luck :)
