Student Finance Help!

Kingston Uni? Spent a day there with French students, my Uncle teaches English all over the world and did a 6 month jobby there. Tell you what, there are some rich folk down there.

And yea people say Salford is crap, I could easily say their Uni is the same but i don't study there so i cant pass judgement.

Swings and roundabouts, doesn't bother me. Salford is ace

I couldn't go to uni's such as Kingston, not my game at all.

Edit: Don't know anything about the computer courses here, sorry!

Edit again! :D Castle Irwell, its where the parties are at ;)

Party central: Irwell, Bramall. Sometimes Eddie C and John L.

Posh/Quiet: IQ, Horlock/Constantine. Eddie C and John L

It's either between Castle Irwell and iQ, I would say Castle Irwell for my first year but then again I know a girl who hated it there!

Irwell is what you want for first year, deffo. It's a mess but its something special.

IQ is a waste of time, police are round at the sight of a party.

Oh and its £90 a week!

£90 is cheap compared to the halls in Manchester :)

The girl I know who hated it said that she couldn't hack sharing with 11 people but I think they do flats of 6 as well. They tend to put 'mature' students together so I hope I end up with people around my age! :)

The money I save I could put towards staying somewhere quieter when there's more important work to do done, later in my course! :D

Your having a laugh O_o

Haha first year you have to live with 11 people, second year you can be put into the 6 ones. Mature students go to Matthias Court i think. Entirely up to you though, when are you starting?

Yeah, Castle Irwell is like £60/week :D Can't get much better than that.

I think we start accommodation applications in April/May so I'll have a word with Accommodation Services and make sure they don't put me with some messy little 18 year olds, but only not with some 30 year olds :)

Start in September :) Thanks for your help! :)

Rock and Roll

What course you doing?

Computing. I was going to do Forensic Computing but it seemed to specific, so decided to do Computing. I can always transfer to a more specific Computing course after the first year, if I find something I love doing.

Can't wait get cracking to be honest, better to be late going Uni than never :D Most of my mates finished Uni this year and are gutted that I'm just starting :)

Crack on! Got a lad on our course who is 40, doesnt bother us/him. Drinks and comes out with us without fail :D

Doing Environmental Studies atm and going to do Geography next year.

I'm in the well known Peel Building, its a beaut.

I've spoken to Student Finance England and they have said that my application doesn't include the Maintenance Grant, just the Maintenance Loan.

They have said that my parents need to register separately and select to support an application or complete the PFF1 form.

Are they able to do this for me and my Sister at the same time, as we are both applying at the same time? Also where do I get the Alias IF from?

I'm sure all this is very easy once it's been done, but I thought it would have been a more simple than this!
