Hi

I can't find the answers for my question anywhere, and hope someone here can help me.

I am looking at buying the upgrade version of Windows 7 Professional on the student offer for £29.99 but I can't find if I must have the Professional version of a previous Windows in order to buy this particular version. Or does it not matter which version I of Vista or XP I have to get the Pro upgrade?

Also, what is stopping me from just buying the Win7 Pro version for £29.99 and just installing that without having any other software?

Thanks

Farore

urm this might not apply for you but u can get windows 7 home professional or something (the blue boxed one lol) for free if your doing a computing course at a participating uni. ill go and find the details. there is a whole ton of microsoft stuff for free.

ok i'v got it, search for MSDNAA in google and go to first site, hit the free software for students button then select school search and navigate to your school/uni/collage then you select your course and sign up with them or something. its a while ago i did it oh and you must have a valid email address with that uni for example [email protected]

hope that helps someone :)
