Students....you're doing it wrong! Become a plumber!!!

In construction/general trade I think some people will be surprised how much the guys who are good at it and have a good attitude can make. Even in my line of work, mastic/sealant application, the top applicators can earn well over £30k and it isn't even really considered a skill trade. You have to work quite a lot of hours for that mind, be on site for 7, not leave till 5. Some sites are over an hour away as well.

So, become a plumber please, the nation needs you!!!
But that means getting dirty and actually having to work for a living. I'd much rather be in a nice clean office sipping on double grande-cappu-frappu-cino-lattes and getting everything through whining about how I'm a graduate and thus entitled to a better life than the peasants around me... and if you disagree, I'll whine about how your voice causes me anxiety and I'm entitled to compensation....

so yeah it certainly is possible, especially if you go on to run a business employing others or you pick the jobs involving drains that are rather unpleasant...
Worth noting - That only works for companies that handle private drains. Those that also/only work on public drains will NOT be paying you very much by comparison... and you'd likely earn more money collecting trolleys at Tesco.
