Studio flats - pros and cons?

My late father had a 'Studio' flat and it was actually pretty nice. One room as the living room with a slightly raised level as the bedroom (just a couple of steps, less than a foot higher), lovely seperate kitchen and a nice bathroom.

However when he died it was a pain to sell as people don't really want them.

Hmm I suppose it depends on the area - I can't believe Canterbury is so expensive.
^ that does sound nice. I suppose I'll go and view a few.
PS thanks to who posted the picture of their bedsit!

I think if I decided I wanted allot of cash, I would very easily sell up and live in a studio apartment, house sharing is becoming rapidly tedious as a student now I have got a proper flat of my own lined up.

Surely it's blue?!

Willd58, exactly. I'm fed up of having to clean up other people's mess and chasing them up for bills + rent. If something goes wrong I'm happier if it's my fault than someone else's because then its more likely to be sorted out.
