I'm sure some of you already know of the world of Anime and Studio Ghibli films, but for those who don't I urge you to watch some of these films. So far I have seen:

My Neighbour Totoro
Spirited Away
Howls Moving Castle

ALL have been fantastic. I think I enjoy them so much because they are based around a completely different culture and not the typical western good guy bad guy moral tale.

PLEASE watch some of these films, see what you think. I am very glad I took the plunge and decided to watch one.

enjoy plots being wrapped up in the last 5 minutes? THEN IT'S THE FILM FOR YOU (i had this discussion with carzy late last night)

but in general i am a big studio ghibli fan.
 
I saw Spirit Away and Howl's Moving Castle last year in my union cinema. Thoroughly enjoyed them and hope to watch some this year too :)
 
You can most of them in a 2 for £14 offer on a couple of sites at the moment.

I'm sorely tempted to get 5 and 6 again to have a matching set ;)
 
I REALY loved porko rouso and kikis dillivery service along with that one with the castle in the sky when they where on F4.
may have to get em!
 
I love the Ghibli films, Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa are my favourites. I bought the Nausicaa Manga as well and thats pretty good too, expands on things quite a bit too.

Still need to watch Porco Rosso, Only Yesterday and My Neighbours the Yamadas though. :(
 
Watched Spirited Away today, it's simply magical. The stories progression is seamless, the characters are enchanted, the music is wonderful and animation gorgeous. Brought a lump to my throat, I feel like a right big softie now.
 
Yeah spirited away is really good, Princess Mononoke still holds the position of being my favourite anime though :) .
