Stuff it im geting a 450D

I already have a 40D and been thinking for a while about getting a second body just in case the worst happens was pondering over the 400D as i had one of these to begin with.

BUT with the 450D peeking it head around the corner now i decided to place a pre order for one at £449 for body only.

should have it in a week or 2 depending on how quick they get their shipment in.

And you know what i can't wait, i know it not as good as the 40D but it new on the market & i be one of the first to have one in the UK plus proberly it bugs aswell lol, I can't actually wait to go test it out.

I got my 400D yesterday and it seems very nice. I paid £310 with a kit lens so I don't know if the 450d is worth the extra, live view and IS built in are quite nice to have I imagine

IS is in the kit lens suppiled not in the body on the 450D

Also good choice on camera i started out with a 400D.

Thinking of getting a 450D myself as an upgrade from a Fuji S9600.

Automated sensor cleaning (400d has this also)
3" screen vs 2.5"
Live view
Uses SD cards, as does the D40X... a bit slower but a lot cheaper (£10 for 4gb).

I think that's about it.

Also spot metering
Live view actually better than the 40D's
3.5fps over 400D 3fps
better AF
better overall design ie better grip for the hand

to be honest id have a 40D over a 450D. prosumer vs consumer..

Perhaps not quite, latest rumour is that Canon's cashback promotion kicks off again on 1st March with £100 off a 40D body

I wouldn't upgrade from a 400D to a 450D the 40D is the next step up really but as i siad i already have a 40D and the 450D will be my backup or for them days when i want to go light with the 50mm.

In my book yip it be worth it a lot more features to be had over the 350D.

Some pretty big differences, I would say it's a worthwhile upgrade personally.
