Stuffed on RMA. Why?

Seagate are covering the warranty on it yes! but I didnt even know seagate had acquired samsung until I tried to rma, I just dont read up on all the industry stuff like I used to :rolleyes:

But thinking back when they were both new I checked these drives with samsung and got this:

"HD103SJ - 103 - Out of Service area
The product has been brought in from outside of this service region and cannot be serviced. Please contact your reseller or distributor."

I sat there and checked every country until hitting on Vietnam which worked so these two drives were not ment to be here which ment grey import to me. That led to me ocuk who basically said they would cover the 3years in any event of failure. Im just a bit wound up with having to fight about it thats all. This should never have happend imho.
 
I don't know if 5UB works in tech support. One of the tech support guys is an absolute star (Could be him) , another one I dealt with is an absolute *insert something here*, very unhelpful, thinks he's god and hangs the phone up on you.

I've always found 5UB helpful on the forums though :)
