Just purchased some mx2 to go with my 4790k order
MX2 All the way!!
Hi stulid have you had any dealings with janpus thermal paste
Nice bit of work there Stulid.
hi Stulid Would you be up for testing some Janpus thermal paste if I send it to you?
I have have the DX1 and D9000
Just got to the end of my MX2 tube after a reseat seems its still up there Will there be an update of this some day
Good work Stulid.
I can now use the supplied GC extreme that came with my EK Evo water block without worrying!
Liquid copper sounds interesting
That GC extreme is still a favorite.
great approach to testing and info is very good so thanks for that, now can we have a cpu cooler one done?
as i'm sure that would throw up some great info as well
if it's not already been done and i'm blind to not see it, if so i apologize now in advance
Great work! When I need to replace my TIM or do a rebuild I will come and check this out again, very in depth and needs to be a sticky imo.
EDIT: Just noticed it is already stickied
Aye, be interesting to see how this does.
Liquid Pro works good for me.
+2 for AS5
Thats a good test and surprising at times but I'm interested in the thing that can't be measured in a one off test and thats longevity
I ask because I recently disassembled a cpu and cooler and the AS5 paste was as good as the day it was put there 5 years ago. I don't know what they use for it but its amazingly stable.
So has anyone had experiences of temperatures rising or paste solidifying over time with any brand/compound? The rather large cooler I have at present is not something I'd want to dismantle in a hurry, or often.
I have used Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme for about a year now and love it don't think I would use anything else.
Nice testing, need to re-paste my H110 soon, not sure what to use still though.
Make that another one! I bought anohter tube not realizing I already had one oh well. At least I won't run out any time soon
If you cant find the Gelid then im currently liking Antec formula7, its very similar in terms of ease of spread etc.
Shout out to Prolimatech for the PK1/2 also.
