stupid brexit

I have a friend living deep in the netherlands next to germany, he has a young family now, so I've sent his family a box of gifts,
now because we are out of the EU a customs form, had to be filled out, which you don't have to do if it's an EU country to an EU country,
the package is stuck at netherlands customs being evaluated for customs charges,
this wouldn't have happened before Brexit
it's just stupid, people are stupid! ( I know that statement in itself is a no brainer)

Tell your friend to move to Rwanda. Regular flights going there soon, apparently.

Plus when the boats stop we'll never get any post to the mainland.

you have to write down what the gifts are, and if you don't list what is in there, and what they are worth, then you are stuffed for getting your money back if it gets lost,

we're talking two jumpers, a bottle of wine, and a load of soft toys, I suspect the stated soft toys have flagged a suspicious marker, dunno
edit: the jumpers are really nice scottish made ones
