Stupid iTouch question

The iPhone and iPod Touch are both G chipsets.

It would be nice to have had Wireless N, but it's hardly needed imo :o

Ah, duh, WAP.. i dont know what i was thinking..

Thanks guys, and EVH for answering both my question posts.

It seems like they are quite nice devices, like an iPhone without the rubbish phone bits.

Has anyone tried using Apples remote desktop application on an iTouch.. thats one of the main attractions for me.

Nope, it won't work.

The best you can do is SSH in, using terminal, or SFTP with a jailbroken one afaik, although, if I'm wrong, again, just correct me. :p

Hmm, i had a look on google and people seem to be trying to get it on the iPhone, are most apps working on the iPhone also working on the iTouch?

I think some of the hackers said the apps were "almost identical binaries" hence their appearance on the iTouch :)

So, it works on WPA2-Mixed, which apparently has TKIP + AES encryption, making mine the most secure network in the neighbourhood, as well as most comically named, woot woot. :p

Edit:

:p

Is that using a bluetooth GPS receiver or something?

No, it's using Google Maps on the iPod Touch.

It looks like he's planned a route, and that's just showing the end point.

is there any way to download all of UK roads in google maps or does it have to be connected to wifi every time?

sid

The route to the bank, and o2. Its not that. Bad really, you can go through a route wjen you have wifi access and it caches it. :)

Don't worry.. I'm slowly losing the will to post on here these days anyway :(
