Hi,

I took the fan off my akasa ak82 cpu cooler to clean it, put it back on and have stupidly forgot which way it should be facing - towards the cpu or blowing away from it.

Might even find that with you particular air flow in your case it works better the other way to how it was originally.

In most cases you want air blowing downwards, so plug it in and hold your hand in front of it!

In all the fans I've owned air blows towards the label-side so put it face-down (towards the heatsink).

There is usually a small arrow pointing in the direction of flow on the side of the fan casing. You might have to hold it up to the light to see it.

Blowing down is generally best (frame side generally = flow direction) but there are odd occasions where pulling is preferable
